Three years ago C&K Careers invested in training me to become a matrix Standard Internal Champion. During our recent Accreditation Review, I was able to work alongside the Assessor in planning the programme and conducting some of the interviews;

On the 25th June, Excellence Squared CEO, Paul Bridle, attended the launch of the London Ambitions Career offer. Boris Johnson gave a speech to the attendees reminiscing about his youth and finding the right path for work.
The 80 page report, supported by the Major of London, London Enterprise Panel and produced by the London Council, sets out 7 key recommendations to transform the landscape of careers and employment support for young people across London.
Within recommendation 3.1, the matrix standard is included as one of three national standards for schools and colleges to work towards.
“3.1 – Access to impartial, independent and personalised careers education, information, advice and guidance on their local community.
All London schools and colleges should work towards a quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance as an effective means of carrying out a systematic self-improvement review of careers provision, including online and face-to-face careers support for all young Londoners.”
Point two cites The matrix Standard:
“The national matrix Standard for information, advice and guidance – this can assist schools and colleges to demonstrate that they provide a high quality and impartial service. Schools and colleges can access an online register of organisations’ accredited to the matrix Standard.”
